hellenistic culture

today in class we saw 2 presentation, one was on democracy and the other was on the trireme. the trireme had 170 men on it with 3 rows of ores, at night they had to bring the ship out of water because the soft wood they used soaked up water so they had to let it dry out at night.
We also took notes on Hellenistic culture. The scholars studied astronomy.
